As a recent DMEXCO Trend Survey of more than 800 digital decision-makers shows, although many companies are currently suffering economically, the digital economy might actually benefit following the end of the pandemic. According to the assessment, the COVID-19 crisis will accelerate the pace of the digital transformation. Nearly the entire digital sector is currently working from home.

The digital economy is increasing its focus on users, values and taking a stance
A successful DMEXCO: Around 1,000 exhibitors from 40 countries, including the most valuable companies in the technology sector, more than 600 speakers and around 40,000 visitors attended Europe's most important event for the digital economy in Cologne this year. Under this year's motto "Trust In You", decision-makers from digital business, marketing and innovation discussed the increasingly central role of trust in the relationships between users and consumers, as well as companies and their digital services. The newly designed Future Park in Hall 9, the Demo Arena and the DMEXCO app all made successful debuts at the event. DMEXCO will be taking place at the Koelnmesse exhibition grounds once again on 23 and 24 September 2020.
“Trust In You”: Industry discusses the importance of trust in digital marketing at DMEXCO 2019
Starting today at DMEXCO in Cologne, Europe's most important event for the digital economy, the industry is not only discussing the latest trends in technology and marketing, but also the digital economy's responsibility and the required foundation of trust between companies and users. For the 2019 event, DMEXCO includes around 1000 exhibitors from 40 countries in six halls and more than 600 speakers, 51 percent of whom are from abroad and 35 per cent of whom are women. In order to partially compensate for the CO2 pollution caused by visitors traveling to the fair, DMEXCO is launching the DMEXCO Forest reforestation project together with sponsors.

Broadway stars go DMEXCO: Musical highlight before the official party
Party with view over the Rhine and a keynote that is beyond comparison: On the first day of DMEXCO (11.09.) Yext founder and CEO Howard Lerman turns the Congress Stage into a Broadway stage during his keynote speech with the musical "Who killed Dominik Matyka?” At 8.30 p.m. another highlight follows: the legendary DMEXCO Party, this time in the Rheinterrassen.
SevenVentures Pitch Day: Start-up competition returns to DMEXCO in 2019
The competition for the million dollar advertising budget is entering the next round this year. After the successful premiere last year, DMEXCO and SevenVentures are looking for the most innovative start-up in the B2C sector at the SevenVentures Pitch Day (7VPD) in 2019 again, under the motto "Creating a mass market brand!". According to Forbes, the competition, which is endowed with 3 million euros in media budget, is one of the most important awards for founders worldwide. The application starts on July 10th, 2019.
