At DMEXCO in Cologne, yesterday the digital economy started discussing not only the latest trends in technology and marketing, but also its self-image and its responsibility towards users. In 2018, DMEXCO, the meeting place for all major decision-makers from the digital economy, marketing and innovation, will feature 1,000 exhibitors from 40 countries in six halls and more than 550 speakers – 48 percent of whom are from abroad and 33 percent of whom are female. Two start-up pitches are also taking place: the winner of the “SevenVentures Pitch Day” is the platform for online therapy courses Selfapy. The final of “The DMEXCO & Unilever Foundry Start-up Hatch” will be held on September 13 on the Debate Stage.
In just a few days, the global digital community will convene at Koelnmesse for DMEXCO 2018. The DMEXCO team still has some exciting news for you: the Berlin cult party series I LOVE ENGTANZ will be the "partner in crime" on September 12 for the official DMEXCO Party and Nelson Mandela's grandson Kweku Mandela will be discussing the relevance of podcasts with Jan Böhmermann on the Congress Stage at the exclusive DMEXCO VIP Opening. In addition to this, the finalists of the "SevenVentures Pitch Day" have been selected. There will also be a new format at the 2018 Expo: the "World of Agencies" in Hall 8.
A cornucopia of top speakers awaits visitors at DMEXCO 2018. On 18 stages, Minister of State Dorothee Bär, Moran Cerf (Kellogg School of Management), Alex Tze-Pin Cheng (Baidu), Philipp Schindler (Google), Telekom CEO Timotheus Höttges, Rus Yusupov (HQ Trivia), former Formula 1 world champion and investor Nico Rosberg, cyborg activist Moon Ribas, Pieter Haas (MediaSaturn), Nikki Mendonca (Accenture Interactive) and Debora Koyama (Mondelez), among others, will be delivering a wealth of inspiration and things to talk about. The full DMEXCO program with more than 550 speakers will be available from August 15 at www.dmexco.com/conference. This year, Louise Houghton will be presenting on the Congress Stage for the first time.
