Alexa, what’s up at DMEXCO?

In the World of Experience, Alexa provides information about the Conference program, the parties or DMEXCO in general.

The growing importance of voice assistants is undisputed. And these are well represented at DMEXCO, both in the Conference program and among exhibitors. Whether it’s Siri, Google Assistant, Cortana or Amazon’s Alexa – they all accompany us in our everyday life today. The same applies of course to guidance at DMEXCO. This year for the first time, the World of Experience offers you the chance to select a suitable Conference attraction or to be quickly guided to the next food stand with the help of Alexa. The Skill was brought to life by voice assistant specialist VUI.agency.

“What talks are there at 2 pm?”, “Where can I get something to eat nearby?” and “Is there anywhere to sit here?” In the World of Experience, a short question to the DMEXCO Alexa Skill at the VUI.agency stand is enough to get the answers to your questions. For questions about the program, the entries in the event calendar are also taken into account. So if you don’t have an idea what you want to do at the end of the Expo and Conf, you can pick up tips from Alexa. If Alexa doesn’t know, visitors can learn how to teach her the answer with the help of a content management system in just a few steps.

Podcast fans can also access the DMEXCO podcast via Alexa. “The search for audio products is increasingly carried out via voice assistants, so it is a good idea to be at the start early on,” says Patrick Esslinger, Director at VUI.agency.

In the World of Experience, visitors get a condensed overview of future trends and can try them out here. In addition to applications for voice assistants, there are other technologies such as virtual, augmented or mixed reality to experience.
