Travel to DMEXCO 2018 with Lufthansa FlyingLab
Exciting topics, fascinating speakers and networking at an altitude of over 30,000 feet.
For the second year in a row, DMEXCO will be starting with a pre-event over 3,000 miles away from Cologne, at JFK Airport in New York. Jörg Liebe, Senior Director Digital Innovations at Lufthansa and Dr. Dominik Matyka, Chief Advisor of DMEXCO, will meet flight LH401 guests at the gate on September 10. Together with the DMEXCO guests from overseas, they will set off for DMEXCO in Cologne.
The first DMEXCO pre-conference will take place during the long-haul flight from New York to Frankfurt am Main. Top speakers will provide initial insight into current digital trend topics on the 7 ½ hour flight. A total of five speakers will be on board. In short presentations, the experts will talk about current developments in digital business. Each presentation will be followed by a Q&A session, in which the speakers will be available for questions and discussions.
All passengers can dial into the FlyingLab via their mobile devices. If you want to use this extraordinary setup for exclusive networking and the targeted preparation of the #DMEXCO18, you can secure your place at short notice. You can find the code at the end of the story.
Speaker
Alex Tapscott is up first. Together with his father Don Tapscott, he founded the Blockchain Research Institute. Accordingly, he will address how companies can shape their future using blockchain technologies. In his presentation, he will show what an economy could look like, in which trust is no longer created by marketing alone, but by tested systems.
David Weinberger will take the second slot. The co-founder of the legendary Cluetrain Manifesto, bestselling author and technologist at Harvard University’s Berkman Klein Center, will deal with machine learning and what it takes to understand the supposedly “incomprehensible”.
The third speaker is James Cooper. As Special Advisor at Adweek, he will provide an insider’s report on the biggest changes and current challenges in the media industry. Particular emphasis will be placed on artificial intelligence.
In her presentation Claudia Romo Edelman will explain how marketers manage not to lose contact with their customers, despite decreasing brand loyalty. Claudia was Professor of Marketing at the University of Geneva and Head of PR & Media at the World Economic Forum. She now serves as Special Advisor to the United Nations. She also works with We Are All Human Foundation and as co-host of the CBS News “Global Goals Casts”, and will soon be working with Arianna Huffington on “Thrive Goal” for justice, inclusion and participation.
Last but not least, focus will once again be placed on robots and how it is possible to link the real and digital world with the help of these programmed machines. Hardly anyone can explain this better than Simon Haddadin, founder of the robotics company Franka Emika and winner of the German Future Prize.
In addition to these five presentations, the FlyingLab offers one thing above all: a perfect opportunity to connect with others. After all, in addition to the DMEXCO itself in Cologne on September 12 and 13, the compact environment on board the Lufthansa jet provides the perfect setting for networking.
