We are currently receiving enquiries about whether a potential threat from the occurrence of the corona virus will have an impact on our Koelnmesse events. For Koelnmesse’s part, we take this topic seriously, because the health of all trade fair participants is paramount.
The measures in Germany are being fine-tuned on a nearly daily basis. This has implications for the requirements and recommendations of the authorities, including for the organisation of trade fairs. Specifically, the time limits that apply to all of these measures cannot be foreseen at this point in time.
Like all international trade fairs, the DMEXCO will play a decisive role in the post-corona era in showing the participating industries the solutions and trends for a successful future again. Production, logistics, sales and communication will change, networking of the players, reactivation of economic relationships and the establishment of new business will be more important than ever before. It is essential for all market participants to actively prepare for this now.
With this in mind, Koelnmesse will use its judgement in the effort to continue to prepare the DMEXCO on the dates already planned as it assesses the situation on an ongoing basis. We will make all decisions for or against implementation of a particular event as early as possible and will, of course, notify all parties involved without delay.
