Cologne – This year’s DMEXCO will start in New York, on board Lufthansa flight LH401 to Frankfurt. The Lufthansa FlyingLab will provide international experts with insights into the most exciting digital topics at present and will be available to answer passengers’ questions on the way to Europe’s largest digital trade fair.
In the first lecture, Alex Tapscott explains how companies are entering a new Internet era with the help of blockchain. The co-founder of the Blockchain Research Institute explains what an economy will look like in which trust is not created by brands and intermediaries, but by a comprehensible, verified system. David Weinberger then introduces passengers to machine learning and shows them what it takes to understand this supposed black box. James Cooper, Editorial Director of Adweek, gives an overview of the biggest changes and challenges in the media and media industry and the role that artificial intelligence will play in the future. Claudia Edelman, Special Advisor at the United Nations, will then give a “wake-up call for brands”. Her lecture is aimed at marketers who do not want to lose contact with their customers in times of declining brand loyalty. Last but not least, Simon Haddadin, founder of the robotics company Franka Emika and winner of the German Future Prize, will demonstrate how robots can be used to connect the real world with the digital world.
Passengers will be met by Jörg Liebe, Senior Director Digital Innovations of Lufthansa, and Dr. Dominik Matyka, DMEXCO Chief Advisor, at the gate in New York already. In addition to the opportunity to ask detailed questions after each lecture, there will also be the opportunity for intensive networking above the clouds. Admission to the official VIP Opening Party on September 11 and admission on both days of the fair are included for Lufthansa FlyingLab passengers (https://dmexco.com/de/events/dmexco-lufthansa-flyinglab/).
