New CI and Website: DMEXCO shows off a New look for its 10th Edition

DMEXCO celebrated its premiere in Cologne in 2009. For its 10th edition, the central meeting point for the digital economy will now be presented with a new corporate identity. This represents intuitive, cross-platform navigation, both online on the new, responsive website and offline at the conference and expo in Cologne. The central element of the CI and the new logo is a dual color and shape code: blue and the square symbolize the Expo, red and the circle represent the Conference.

Better orientation, stronger connections and more engagement – these are the three central goals of DMEXCO for 2018. With a modern and yet timeless corporate identity and a newly designed, responsive website, DMEXCO is now better able to meet these goals. The central element of the new CI and logo is a dual color and shape code that reflects both the online and offline aspects of DMEXCO as well as emphasizing and connecting the Expo and Conference areas: the color blue and the square will symbolize the Expo in the future, while red and the circle will represent the Conference. The result is a web-enabled and clear CI that works equally well on all platforms.

The color system and a modern tile look feature in the logo and the completely revised and enhanced DMEXCO website. In addition to the most important information on the Expo and Conference as well as detailed documentation of the content in images and sound, the new DMEXCO website now offers additional services, thus fulfilling a key function in strategically bringing together exhibitors and visitors, suppliers and prospective customers throughout the year. The new website includes a blog with a content marketing strategy as well as a detailed calendar of events, which is available now and provides information on relevant events related to the digital industry.

The colors red and blue and a clear iconography will also simplify navigation at the Koelnmesse exhibition center from 2018 onwards. “The new CI aims to ensure optimum guidance for visitors to DMEXCO: on the Net and on site,” says Philipp Hilbig, Director Expo & Operations at DMEXCO. In addition, in an exclusive partnership with Samsung SDS, more digital signage solutions such as digital posters, signs and monitors will be used. The new CI and website were designed and executed by Berlin agency Navarra.

“DMEXCO’s new look is modern and timeless, yet simple and elegant. With a dual color scheme, a clear font and understandable icons, we drew inspiration from navigation at large traffic hubs such as airports and subway networks. In the future, we will be more dialog-oriented in all our communication,” says Dominik Matyka, DMEXCO Chief Advisor.
