This year’s DMEXCO will once again host top international and German-based speakers and bring big brands together with leading digital and media experts. Maurine Alma (CMO, Just Eat takeaway.com), Gali Arnon (CMO, Fiverr), Clemens Bauer (Marketing Director, REWE Markt GmbH), Phil Hutcheon (Founder & CEO, DICE), Johannes Kliesch (Co-Founder, SNOCKS), and Dr. Karsten Wildberger (CEO, MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group) will be among those representing international brands. The first media and tech pros to join the lineup of speakers include Tatjana Biallas (CEO, FUNKE Medien Niedersachsen), Mark Klein (CDO, ERGO Group AG), Ante Kristo (Founder & CEO, The Football Company), Rasmus Giese (CEO, United Internet Media), Ashish Prashar (CMO, R/GA), Claire Valoti (VP, EMEA, Snap Inc.), and David Roter (VP, Global Agency Partnerships, Snap Inc.). In addition to Twitter CCO Sarah Personette, Sir Martin Sorrell (CEO of S4Capital and Founder of the WPP advertising group) will be gracing DMEXCO with his presence for the third time.

Under this year’s motto #WeProgressTogether, DMEXCO is inviting its community to not only discuss progress, but also help shape it. There are currently more than enough challenges to master: whether the EU’s new regulatory framework, the end of third-party cookies, new Web3 technologies, struggling global stock markets, or growing discussions about the energy consumption and sustainability of the digital industry.

Thomas Mosch, DMEXCO Conference Director: “We will open a dialogue about how leading brands, together with companies from the digital economy, are responding to today’s challenging environment. DMEXCO attendees can look forward to more than 30 panels, where we’ll be discussing relevant developments in digital marketing and e-commerce – spanning the metaverse, digital out of home, connected TV, retail media, and product experience management.”

Professor Dominik Matyka, Chief Advisor of DMEXCO, adds: “The stock prices of many technology companies have significantly declined. At the same time, global media agencies’ forecasts for digital marketing ad spend this year and next continue to point upwards. We will discuss this area of tension intensively at the DMEXCO conference and try to find solutions together with our partners in order to contribute to the ecosystem.”

Dirk Freytag, President of the BVDW, adds: “DMEXCO is the platform for digital marketing. We want to discuss how applications can be implemented in Web3 and the metaverse. What are the opportunities for digital companies? These are key topics of the future and for the industry. DMEXCO delivers the perfect setting for discussing them. It doesn’t get any closer to the future than this.”

Tickets for DMEXCO regularly cost 149 euros and will be available online from July 20. For the first time, tickets are free of charge for students and university teachers. To mark the launch of the ticket store, the Early Bird Special “2 for 1” offers an additional voucher ticket code for DMEXCO 2022 live on site in Cologne for every ticket purchase up to and including August 3.
