Further Speaker Highlights in 2019
In addition to Stephanie Buscemi, other international speaker highlights await the visitors. Jimmy Wales, co-founder of Wikipedia, discusses Wikipedia’s role in times of fake news and why mainstream media are currently in a crisis, with moderator Ralph Simon (11th of September / 11:45 a.m.). On the second day, Roger McNamee, Facebook investor and former consultant of Mark Zuckerberg , talks about Big Tech under observation (12th of September / 9:45 a.m.). Charlotte Roche, author, moderator, actress and podcaster, talks to Spotify about the beautiful new world of podcasting (12th of September / 2:30 p.m.). Dominique Delport, Chief Revenue Officer at VICE, will also be on the Congress Stage with a keynote on “Why Scale isn’t enough” (12th of September / 4:05 p.m.).
Female Empowerment at DMEXCO
DMEXCO sees female empowerment as an important task. Therefore it strives for a balanced proportion on all curated stages. With 35 percent of female speakers, the number of 2018 (33 percent) was increased. Furthermore, 9 out of 22 keynotes on stage will be given by women this year. DMEXCO itself will be opened on September 11th at 10:05 a.m. by Stephanie Buscemi (CMO at Salesforce) on the Congress Stage with a keynote on trust in the digital industry and what marketers can do to build trust. On the following day, at 10:45 a.m., she will have a discussion with Jens Thiemer, SVP Brands & Consumer at BMW, on the Debate Stage, answering further questions on this topic.
New event within the DMEXCO: The CVC Conference
With the CVC Conference DMEXCO also takes a new path for investors this year. While tomorrow’s start-ups and digital players will gather in the Future Park in Hall 9, a half-day conference in cooperation with VentureCapital-Magazin will take place on September 11th, focusing on start-up investments. The CVC Conference is the perfect platform for exchange and networking with each other as well as with start-ups from different industries: from Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Mixed Reality, Smart Technologies and Mobility to IoT and Blockchain.
Additionally, there will also be a new stage format this year: On Salesforce’s How-To Stage (Hall 6.1, C080), marketing and eCommerce experts will be giving immediately applicable recommendations, guidelines and best practices on various topics in over 25 sessions. New social media hub and app update
For the first time there will be a Social Media Hub at DMEXCO, located in Hall 6 (Stand D040). From there, the DMEXCO Social Media Team will get in touch with numerous visitors and exhibitors. Also a good meeting point for influencers, bloggers and everyone interested in getting to know the DMEXCO team personally.
With the new app, visitors can not only plan their visit optimally, but also become an active part of the DMEXCO community. Since last week the latest update is also available in the App and Play Stores. New functions such as “Request Contact”, which visitors can use to send contact enquiries to exhibitors, as well as personal notes on participants, exhibitors and speakers, are now available. For exhibitors the options of lead tracking and exporting personal DMEXCO contacts is also possible.
Current BVDW Study on AI and Ethics in the Digital Economy
Matthias Wahl, President of the German Association for the Digital Economy (BVDW e.V.), will present the results of a new study on “Artificial Intelligence, Smart Home, Connected Health: Ethics in the Digital Economy” at the joint Media Breakfast on the first day of DMEXCO (11th of September / 8:30 a.m.). Finally, the Circle of Online Marketers (OVK) of the BVDW will present the current figures of the digital advertising market.
