Have I told you lately… – DMEXCO Party with I LOVE ENGTANZ

It has already become a real cult event in Berlin and will now be making its first guest appearance in Cologne: The official DMEXCO party on the first evening (starting September 12 at 8:30 p.m.) will be held in 2018 under the motto “DMEXCO meets I LOVE ENGTANZ”. This “love invasion” powered by PICKNICK BERLIN with its legendary format I LOVE ENGTANZ and a mix of love songs and hip hop/R&B will heat up the unique location of Wolkenburg. Heart-shaped balloons, disco balls and confetti will create the perfect atmosphere for Bonnie Tyler, Robbie Williams and more. Tickets are available for €119 at https://dmexco.com/tickets/.

More DMEXCO 2018 speaker highlights

Other speaker highlights await the visitors of DMEXCO 2018: Nelson Mandela’s grandson Kweku Mandela will be speaking with United Nations Advisor Claudia Romo Edelman at the exclusive VIP Opening Party on the eve of the Conference and Expo in Cologne’s top location Flora. The media experts will be discussing what each individual has to contribute in order to make a difference together. On the Congress Stage on September 13 at 11:40 a.m., host Jan Böhmermann will be talking with Michael Krause from Spotify about the podcast hype and the future of the media format. The DMEXCO 2018 schedule will be over 250 hours long. Of these, 48 percent will be international speakers and 33 percent (10% more than in 2017) will be women.

Start-up competitions – the finalists

Start-ups exhibiting in the Start-up Village had the opportunity to apply for “The DMEXCO & Unilever Foundry Start-up Hatch” until September 5. In the second start-up competition at DMEXCO, the “SevenVentures Pitch Day”, the four semi-finalists have already been selected. The organic baby food producer Yamo, low-carb pasta producer Edamama, the automotive service online marketplace Caroobi and online therapy course provider Selfapy will be proceeding to the final. They are competing for three million euros in TV advertising money, an online advertising volume of 200,000 euros and a TV commercial production of 30,000 euros, as well as a mentoring program from Procter & Gamble.

The two finalists will appear live in front of a panel of industry stakeholders and experts on the DMEXCO Debate Stage on September 12. This year’s panel will include entrepreneur, founder and former tennis professional, Michael Stich, Managing Director Sales at Procter & Gamble DACH, Astrid Teckentrup, and the two SevenVentures Managing Directors, Eun-Kyung Park and Florian Pauthner, who will jointly evaluate the presentations of the start-ups as a team of two. The 7VPD will again be moderated by Steven Gätjen.

Over 150 start-ups from more than 20 countries from Korea to Norway are participating in DMEXCO 2018. As part of the BVDW Guided Tours, the “Start-up Hero Tours” provide insights into the latest trends on a wide variety of topics.
