This time, DMEXCO will be opened by Carla Piñeyro Sublett, Chief Marketing Officer of global tech giant IBM. In her kickoff speech “B2B marketing as we know it is over!” she will dive right into DMEXCO’s motto for this year: “Setting New Priorities”, which addresses the reset in post-Covid work and life. “Our world has changed – but have we? B2B marketing as we know it no longer works. It’s time to rethink everything and make sure we’re making a difference with the experiences and relationships we create. The key question is: How do we add value?” says Sublett.
The main sponsor of this year’s DMEXCO @home is IBM iX, IBM’s digital agency. During the two days of the event, numerous other top international executives will have their say, including Anna Bager (CEO & President, Out of Home Advertising Association of America), Jonathan Cherki (CEO, Contentsquare), Leanne Cutts (Global Chief Marketing Officer, HSBC), Ariel Kelman (Chief Marketing Officer, Oracle), Brian Lesser (CEO, InfoSum), Pamela Drucker Mann (Global Chief Revenue Officer & President, US Revenue, Condé Nast), Adam Singolda (CEO, Taboola), and Alain Visser (CEO, Lynk & Co) and Timothy Young (President, Dropbox). The German digital economy will be represented by the likes of Alexander Brunst (General Manager Germany, Gorillas), Marcel Hollerbach (CIO, Productsup), Christina Kiehl (CEO, congstar), Kai Müller (Founder & CEO, Experience One), Masa Schmidt (Head of Marketing Germany, SAP) and Vanessa Stützle (Chief Digital Officer, Douglas).
Digitalization is at the top of the political agenda, not just because of the coronavirus pandemic. With the German federal election just around the corner, this year’s event will see leading digital politicians present their ideas for a digital Germany in 2022 and beyond. Thomas Jarzombek, the Economic Affairs Ministry’s Commissioner for the Digital Industry and Start-ups, will make an appearance for the CDU Party, the SPD Party will be represented by its co-leader Saskia Esken, and deputy chair and network politician Dr. Konstantin von Notz will also be joining them from the Green Party. Siim Sikkut, the Government CIO of the Republic of Estonia, will be discussing how the country has become a digital forerunner in Europe and how it intends to defend its lead.
Once DMEXCO @home 2021 is over, participants will also be able to watch any session they may have missed at the time in the video-on-demand library. Those with a Premium ticket will even have up to 12 months to catch up. Tickets are available at https://dmexco.com/tickets/#/. Press representatives can also apply for accreditation there with immediate effect.
“This year, the DMEXCO community can look forward to four channels of presentations, talks, and panel discussions, as well as seven additional channels with half-hour masterclasses – added together, that’s more than 160 hours of content. From discussing overarching themes such as digitalization, new work, sustainability, and diversity, to exploring industry-specific topics such as cookieless targeting, social advertising, and AR marketing: our ‘Setting New Priorities’ motto is woven through the entire agenda. Everyone knows that we are facing big changes, and the industry wants to actively shape them,” says Thomas Mosch, DMEXCO Conference Director. “Although DMEXCO does not kick off for about three weeks, our community can already interact, network, and prepare for two jam-packed days. After all, DMEXCO @home 2021 is also an important step for us to turn DMEXCO into an attractive year-round platform for digital marketing and business on the foundations of an advanced technical format.”
