On September 20 and 21, Cologne will become the European hotspot of the digital industry when DIGITAL X, Europe’s leading cross-industry digitalization initiative organized by Deutsche Telekom, and DMEXCO, Europe’s leading digital marketing & tech event, will be held at the same time, united by a mindset focused on driving digitalization. That’s also the reason why Koelnmesse, Deutsche Telekom, and the German Association for the Digital Economy (BVDW), which is DMEXCO’s ideational and professional partner, are pooling their strengths this year as never seen before. Together in Cologne, the partners aim to show visitors what possibilities are being opened up by the digital transformation by building a networked platform – both in the city and at the exhibition grounds – for fostering innovations, creating business opportunities, and promoting knowledge sharing.
The planned measures include a joint ticket arrangement, which will allow visitors to attend both events. The partners are also developing joint sessions that will explore key content on the conference stages of DIGITAL X and DMEXCO.
Gerald Böse, CEO of Koelnmesse: “By bringing together two established leading events, we’re giving our target audience significant added value on a strategic level, while reinforcing Cologne’s status as an economic hub. Cologne’s superb location, excellent infrastructure, and lively digital ecosystem make it the ideal place for fostering digital advancement. Visitors can expect highly concentrated digital power in Cologne on these two days.”
Hagen Rickmann, Managing Director for Business Customers at Telekom Deutschland GmbH: “Together, we’re breaking new ground for digitalization. As the patron of DIGITAL X, I am particularly delighted that we’re teaming up with DMEXCO.
In this way, we are establishing an event full of superlatives with which we will help shape our future from Germany and leave a lasting mark on it. As a society and economy, we urgently require solutions to successfully drive the digital transformation on various levels. The combined forces of Digital X and DMEXCO are an important step in this direction.”
Dirk Freytag, President of the German Association for the Digital Economy (BVDW): “We’re currently experiencing digitalization at an unprecedented speed. Companies need to constantly evaluate how they can benefit from data, AI, and all the other new possibilities emerging in the digital economy. As DMEXCO’s ideational partner and brand owner, the German Association for the Digital Economy welcomes this collaboration with DIGITAL X. Together, we’ll now be able to give all visitors an even bigger picture of future opportunities.”
The two partners will soon be announcing more details on the strategic collaboration.
