Access to the exhibition grounds
1. Get your ticket
- Please register in the ticket shop and create your Koelnmesse account.
- In the ticket shop you can buy your ticket or redeem your digital voucher code.
2. Download the DMEXCO app
- This year, only digital admission tickets will be issued. Therefore, it is necessary that you download the DMEXCO app, which is available in the App Store or Play Store.
- Login with the same e-mail address that you used to register in the Ticket Shop. You can set up a password during the first login to the App.
- Your ticket will be automatically displayed in the ticket wallet of the DMEXCO app.
3. Access to DMEXCO
- You will be granted access to the fair grounds on presenting the admission ticket in the DMEXCO app. The ticket is personalized and non-transferable.
Arrival
Due to Koelnmesse’s central and convenient location in Europe, visitors can reach Koelnmesse quickly by car, train, airplane and public transport from many cities in Germany and abroad.
Koelnmesse can be quickly reached by trains from many cities in Germany and abroad. In addition, the Köln Messe/Deutz station for high-speed trains is located directly next to the exhibition grounds. Find out more about our Deutsche Bahn Special and get your best price ticket now.
The following local public transport stops are located within walking distance of the fair grounds.
Entrance South:
- Suburban train stop “Köln Messe/Deutz”: Numbers S6, S11, S12, S13
- Tram and underground stop “Köln Messe/Deutz (Underground) Station”: Numbers 1 and 9
Entrances East, West, North:
- Tram and underground stop “Köln Messe/Deutz”: Numbers 3 and 4
Your admission ticket as a public transport ticket (VRS):
In addition to your admission ticket, you will receive your public transport ticket in a separate e-mail. Please print this PDF file out in A4 format and bring it with you to the trade fair. The public transport ticket only entitles you to travel to and from Koelnmesse over the period of the trade fair (2nd class) using the extended network of the Rhine-Sieg transport system ( VRS ).
Exempted are Deutsche Bahn AG trains that are subject to a supplementary charge (e.g. IC/EC or ICE trains). Only valid in connection with valid photo identification and an admission ticket of Koelnmesse GmbH.
Koelnmesse is quickly and directly accessible from the highway. Ten motorways are linked with the motorway ring around Cologne. This leads you directly to the fair grounds without being held up by crossroads or traffic lights. For the smart way, we recommend the Koelnmesse app NUNAV Navigation .

Support with your visa application
Visa Support for DMEXCO
Trade fair participants from countries, whose citizens require a visa for travelling to Germany, have to present an official letter of invitation from Koelnmesse in the scope of their visa application.
