The future is diversity and equality

With the goal of strengthening the position of women in marketing, media and technology, dmexco has started three initiatives with partners who will address female leadership and show that gender equality is more than a buzzword of our time. Together, we are more creative, successful and innovative. Together with our partners, we want to bring more female executives on stage and let successful women and men discuss various topics of our industry.

dmexco 2017: 29 inspiring women from marketing, media and tech

With the campaign „29 Global Trailblazers“, which we started together with Refinery29 and The Female Quotient, we want to profile 29 female managers from marketing, media and tech with the goal to present their work, ideas and innovations on the dmexco stages. They stand united for a future of diversity and equality.

The Power Of Collaboration And Celebrating Female Success

The Girls‘ Lounge powered by The Female Quotient is the central place at dmexco for women to meet, collaborate and to drive forward necessary change.

„How did you make it into the first row?“

Regina Mehler, founder of the Women Speaker Foundation and 1st Row, and her team interviewed leading female and male dmexco personalities on our green couch and asked them about their personal career path. A personal view by exciting role models, their work and how they experience and drive diversity and equality in their own company. The green couch is our symbol of an open dialogue between women and men. The place at dmexco 2017 for the role models of our industry.

The future belongs to women. We expect that women will be spending 75 percent of private income in 2028. It is even more likely that 19 percent of the companies generating a billion or more in revenue will be headed by women in that same year. One third of all companies will be run by women.

Transformation will only happen when we work together, highlight our differences and when we, as women, accept leadership positions for ourselves.
Shelley Zalis
CEO of The Female Quotient and Founder of The Girls’ Lounge
We committed ourselves to the goal to accelerate social change vehemently, so that in 10 years our commitment in this way will be superfluous.
